Fouling protection

Cooling systems on board of vessels need fouling protection to assure its function. Our fouling protection system (ICAF/MGPS) is a guarantee to effectively prevent this fouling (marine growth) in any situation.

Our very sophisticated power unit will guarantee this perfect protection under all conditions and the amount of dissolved copper (or aluminium) is minimized to prolong the lifetime of the anodes. The functioning principle is based on an artificially triggered voltage difference between the copper anodes and steel plates of the sea chest or integrated cathode plates. As the copper dissolves into the sea water, an ambient environment is created precluding fouling and protecting the sea water pipes or boxcoolers.

The Power Unit of this fouling protection system ensures that the copper anodes add the exact required amount of copper particles to the seawater. Perfect protection is guaranteed under all conditions and the amount of dissolved copper is exactly calculated to extend the lifetime of the anodes as much as possible.
